Review Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card

When I was in college, one of my friends recommended this book for me to read. He had a hardcover copy of this and I sucked it down so quick. I don't normally read male authors but I do like Orson Scott Card. This 7th son of a 7th son was pretty cool.

This review is for the entire series. It is going to be short review since I read this over twenty years ago. Suffice to say that this is the kind of young adult book that I preferred to read. There is drama but it is with fighting and a quest. It is a series about a young man learning about himself and going on an epic journey of self-discovery.

This alternative dystopian world is fascinating to explore. We are learning the same as Alvin is learning. Mr. Card creates a complex world with great character development. For those who enjoy science fiction placed in an alternate reality with magic, this series is for you.
