Review: Ruby Fever by Ilona Andrews

Swoonworthy ending to an amazing trilogy, House Andrews for the win! I loved this book from beginning to end and have read it at least a dozen times since I received it. This is a wild ride from beginning to end. The pace of this story is fantastic and keeps my heart pumping. Warning, this book should not be read as a standalone. Second Warning, do not start reading this right before bedtime. Chances are, you will not be able to put down the book and end up with a book hangover. Is it worth the book hangover?

I loved this conclusion to Catalina's story. There is drama, backstabbing, skeletons in the closets exposed, and vengeance. Everything I love is rolled up into this book. What I loved most is Catalina coming into her own. Her growth in this book continues and she learns more about herself and those around her. What she thought she knew about her boss, her grandmother, and others is blown out of the water and I LOVE IT. There are explosions both physically and mentally. Catalina is thrown for a loop many times and each time, she comes back stronger and hits harder. Her powers grow and the way House Andrews morphs is phenomenal and a fresh interpretation of sirens. My mind is blown.

The blood-pumping action keeps this book moving at a fast pace. Catalina and the Baylor House are being assaulted on multiple fronts. Allies and family members are hurt and still strive to do the right thing. Although once, I would like to see Catalina lose control and let her dark wings FLY! This world is rich with multiple layers. The character development is phenomenal. The interactions between the characters are hilarious at times and poignant at others. This story could be over the top but it is not. All the questions I had regarding the Cesaer, and my suspicions, all of them are answered. I'm thrilled that I was mostly right yet House Andrews takes it to another level that I should have seen coming. LOVED IT!

The ending is perfect and I really do hope the youngest Baylor, Arabella receives her own trilogy. Her quips nearly stole the show. Instead, it enhanced the overall amazing dialogue from the different characters. This paranormal romance is highly recommended to everyone.
